We’ve been to Guglhupf in Durham for dinner several times, but this past weekend we did brunch there for the first time and were definitely not disappointed. The brunch menu had a nice mix of lighter and more filling dishes, from muesli to schnitzel to grilled Nutella sandwiches (drool!). The quality of the food was excellent and the prices were good for the amount of food (particularly the $8.50 schnitzel, which was surprisingly large; had a nice brown, crispy edge; and came with a small salad).
If you’re going to go, go early. We got there a little after 11, and the parking lot was close to full. By the time we got done eating around 12:30, the parking lot was packed, with more cars circling and waiting for spots.
